Released from their infernally cheery confinement, these 13 maudlin musings are finally given the joyless interpretation their depressed authors intended before woefully upbeat producers ripped out their essentially dismal, angst-ridden majesty.

It took chronic melancholic Scot Debbie Downer and her counterpart in gloom, Swiss multi-instrumentalist Giorgio Morosey (aka The Mascara Stains) to release their dejected and disconsolate glory in Summer Bummer, and under the dispirited wing of heavy-hearted svengali Terry Tamazepam, they have surely produced a classic of the miserablist genre.

In the lockdown summer of 2020, surely the worst in living memory, who wouldn't rather wallow in the sheer gloom that despondent ditties like Summer Holiday and Walking On Sunshine originally suggested? If you're anything like me, you'll have found all previous renditions of these mournful masterpieces unpalatably jubilant.

I'm thoroughly depressed and couldn't be happier about it.
